An exciting opportunity has arisen to expand our large clinical team to help us reach communities struggling with substance misuse in Rotherham.
Main duties of the job
WithYou is all about working with our clients to find the right path for them to get back to where they want to be and you will play an important role in that journey.
You'll work closely with the Operational & Clinical Leadership along with our Recovery Workers to ensure that the clinical and psychosocial needs of the individual are met and that prescribing is safe, effective and in accordance with best practice whilst meeting the individual needs of the client. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to the most vulnerable in our society.
Working within one of our services is always busy, sometimes challenging but always rewarding.
About the job
You will be eager to keep up to date with developments in the treatments that you are prescribing and help WithYou to develop, implement and evaluate the interventions we use with our clients. These include:
harm reduction
providing support and advice in relation to substance misuse clinics; where we assess and review prescribed treatment plans
advise on detoxification
vaccination and blood testing programmes
It's not just about those people who actively engage with our service though - you will also be reaching out to those in our communities to offer proactive support and education.
This role is based on site in Rotherham, working 37.5 hours per week. You must be available to work some late nights on a Tuesday.
About us
As an organisation, we continue to build an inclusive culture that encourages, supports and celebrates the diverse voices and experiences of our staff. We know that representing the communities we serve is key to us meeting our goals of radically improving people's lives. We welcome the unique contributions that you can bring, and we encourage people from underrepresented communities and backgrounds to apply to join our team, including people with lived experience, people with disabilities, people from racialised communities, LGBTQ+ people, people of all ages and armed forces veterans.
As part of our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant, we provide a guaranteed interview scheme for candidates that are veterans and meet all the essential criteria for a role.
WithYou is also a Disability Confident Employer, and we offer a guaranteed interview scheme for candidates with a disability and meet all the essential criteria for a role.
If you have a disability, a learning difficulty such as dyslexia or a medical condition which you believe may affect your performance during any aspect of our selection process, we'll be happy to make reasonable adjustments to enable you to perform at your best.
